Primary Responsibilities:
  • Enter prescriptions and verify appropriate information
  • Process prescriptions (from intake to order completion)
  • Resolve customer issues; ensuring accurate information is provided
  • Sterile iv compounding
  • Pull medications/supplies
  • Refill prescriptions and prepare delivery tickets
  • Prepare products for delivery
  • Inventory and equipment management
  • Extensive work experience within own function
  • Work is frequently completed without established procedures
  • Works independently
  • May act as a resource for others
  • Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining a good attendance record

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED or higher
  • Current and valid California state Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
  • 1+ years of Aseptic Technique experience
  • 1+ years of Sterile IV compounding experience
  • 1+ years of acute care hospital, long-term care hospital and / or home infusion therapy experience
  • Knowledge of basic drug terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
  • Moderate proficiency with Windows PC applications and pharmacy operating systems, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system application
  • Ability to work 8:30 am-5 pm, PST Monday- Friday including possible weekend shifts as business needs arise

Assets:

  • PTCB, National Pharmacy Technician certification
  • 1+ years of office and / or customer service experience
  • 1+ years working experience with sterile compounding equipment and software
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods of close vision looking at a computer monitor
  • Service center environment with moderate noise level due to Representatives talking, computers, printers, floor activity
