What You'll Do We're looking for a smart, creative, and passionate "full-stack" product design professional to join our growing team. As a Product Designer you will work closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams to conceptualize, design, and test new features as well as re-imagine and refactor old ones. Through research and usability testing you will develop a deep empathy for our customers/users, and armed with this insight you produce design artifacts that vary in fidelity from paper sketches to wireframes to interactive prototypes. * Lead user research activities * Facilitate ideation and design sessions * Create and lead usability tests * Solicits outside (cross-functional) feedback on design decisions * Participates in the project planning process * Anticipates project risks and eliminates / mitigates * Communicates risks and problems to management early, brings solutions to problems, not just problems * Stays abreast of current technical trends and latest tool-kits (and shares with team) * Demonstrates experience and proficiency with interaction design * Produces pixel-perfect visual design artifacts Who You Are * Bachelor's degree in design, HCI, computer science, or a related field * Proficiency with visual design tools such as Sketch and/or the Adobe Creative Suite * Ability to work on multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines * Strong communication and collaboration skills * Self-starter with high levels of initiative, commitment, and energy Desired Skills * Familiarity with Design Thinking and Lean UX methodologies * Ability to write HTML and CSS * Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Backbone.js, Angular.js) a plus Why Cisco We connect everything: people, processes, data, and things.
