With the help of some of the brightest minds in technology, merchandising, marketing, supply chain, talent and more, we are reimagining the intersection of digital and physical shopping to help achieve that mission.Job Title:Senior Product Development SpecialistPosition Summary:The Senior Product Development Specialist is new role to Walmart.com and one that gives the associate a great opportunity to be part of a growing team that is forging a new path and process as to how we drive private label growth within the entertainment division. This person should have a general understanding of how to develop product from concept to execution and what is required to manage and hit timelines within a product life cycle. Ideally this person would have experience in hardlines as well as softlines and be very familiar with materials, construction and product development vernacular. This person needs to be very process and detail oriented. This person will be instrumental in developing strong processes, partnerships and integration with our store counterparts to gain alignment and leverage resources. This person needs to be extremely collaborative with strong people skills and the ability to manage politics with grace. We are looking for someone with a start-up and agile thinking mentality that approaches ambiguity and change with a positive attitude and tireless approach.

Works independently; manages projects in business area or category from strategy through execution

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Impacts a range of customer, operational, project, retail or service activities within own business area or category

Maintains specialized knowledge of the company, processes, industry and customers

Leads a range of assignments related to business area or category

Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of consumer product development objectives

Identifies and elevates issues to consumer product manager that may affect product timelines for the category or business area and recommends potential solutions

Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of product development strategy and independently executes product development plans

Suggests additional development opportunities for the product development forecast based on product and category knowledge and interaction with category specialists, suppliers, and related team members

Performs product research and coordinates with category and related teams to analyze performance and product features within a category or business area

Identifies industry trends by examining product and sales data for a category or business area to measure impact of existing features and potential areas for improvement

Coordinates with category and marketing teams to gather information, data and requirements

Collaborates with cross-functional team members in own category or business area (i.e., Marketing, Merchandising, Consumer Insights, Creative Resources) to assist with the execution of product development plans

3 - 5 years of relevant experienceAdditional Preferred Qualifications:Intermediate Level in Microsoft Office

Experience in Ecommerce preferred
