JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Product Manager will lead the Client Portal Release Train. The release train is focused on creating a future that offers an easier, quicker, more predictable experience on manheim.com that drives client business success. The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for creating the best manheim.com experience focused on account management, post-sale management, and the at auction digital experience including the Manheim mobile app. This person ensures achievement of objectives for the Location Enablement Delivery Stream especially client satisfaction, client growth, product differentiation and revenue growth. The Senior Product Manager will partner with Business, Technology, Operational Excellence, Auction Support and others to drive product growth and create a seamless manheim.com experience. The Senior Product Manager will provide leadership and direction to the Product Managers and Product Delivery Managers within the Release Train regarding product roadmap, product backlog and help define the product vision and strategy and is the connective tissue for the release train. 
  •   Overall product management for the Client Portal Release Train
  • Provide leadership and tactical delivery on projects while collaborating with sales, operations excellence, product marketing, Auction Support, Technology and clients.
  • Support prioritization of requirements across products and across release trains.
  • Understand business goals and ensure they are met; build and manage release train goals
  • Work with business leaders across all of Cox Automotive to make large contributions to product line/category strategy as well as individual products.
  • Will have direct and indirect management of teams/personnel.
  • Contributes to or leads cross-functional initiatives as needed.
  • Identifying new product opportunities as needed, defining product requirements
  • Determine business-case and feasibility 
  • Scoping and defining new products at high level 
  • Building product roadmaps (18 month view)
  • Product Life Cycle considerations, Product differentiation, Detailed product planning

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate will be able to contribute to strong technical design for hosted applications.
  • 7+ years related experience (technology and product management).
  • Expert knowledge of product development life cycle (relevant experience in all phases).
  • Broad knowledge of client/product requirements and market.
  • Ability to independently resolve issues.
  • Previous management/leadership experience required – thought leader or people leader
  • Proven ability to manage portfolio of products.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and demo skills
  • Travel Required - potentially up to 25%
PREFERRED:
  • Automotive market knowledge 
  • MS in related field or MBA
