Position Summary

This team member will be responsible for driving and supporting global operations and technology projects for Walmart International in global trade including ecommerce front-end and back-end product design and architecture, import/export supply-chain network design and development, global trade new business model development, and global logistics, technology, and strategic partner and vendor negotiation and management. The role will require extensive analysis of customer and competitor trends in cross-border ecommerce and in-depth cross-functional leadership and support across different Walmart global markets in legal, finance, ops, technology, and merchandising to design and launch new cross-border ecommerce programs.

Position Description

Leads the strategy and execution of the Cross-Border Trade business to drive international sales by creating and evaluating financial reports to
analyze business results; identifying actions to drive incremental sales; collaborating with suppliers, internal teams, and in-country teams (for
example, Finance, Merchandising) to drive product assortment; ensuring the alignment of strategies across internal and in-country teams; optimizing
product assortment, supply chain, and costs; conducting price and contract negotiations with suppliers; working with internal teams (for example,
Product Management, Merchandising) to drive new products and services; reviewing strategic ecommerce and ancillary technology and operations
functional partners and building business cases for collaboration; developing process-maps for operational, technology, and merchandising flows; and influencing senior leadership on strategy, pricing, product development, and marketing efforts.

Builds relationships with Cross-Border Trade project or program stakeholders (for example, end users, suppliers, in-country teams) by serving as the initial point of contact and liaison between internal and external teams; ensuring that sponsors and stakeholders are educated on project and program requirements; collaborating with stakeholders to assess costs and establish the return on investment (ROI); ensuring leadership approval on resource allocations; managing third-party vendors from qualification to contract negotiations and execution; driving the development of a communication plan;and minimizing the impact of changes (for example, scope, schedule, costs).

Ensures the execution of multiple global operations and technology business plans for Walmart International Cross-Border eCommerce by
collaborating with senior leadership to identify strategic direction; designing cross-organizational relationships between different Walmart businesses
including with internal partners in Treasury, International Tax, Transfer Pricing, Trade Policy, and Regulations to coordinate Walmart's global strategy; aligning operational plans with strategic direction; evaluating market entry and business impact; leading competitive analysis to drive business decision; prioritizing market entry based on business impact and alignment with strategy; providing guidance on strategic decision and implementation recommendations; and communicating strategic focus to senior leadership.

Leads and supports business development projects and initiatives related to last-mile delivery, import and export, eCommerce fulfillment, operations
product management, and global marketplaces by collaborating with senior leadership on the departmental strategies and initiatives; partnering with
the cross-functional teams and stakeholders to assess needs and success measurements; monitoring global deliverable to ensure major milestones
are met; ensuring all projects align with global strategies; ensuring that multiple groups are involved in projects at appropriate stages; explaining
projects in detail to ensure understanding of all groups involved; and developing presentations for stakeholders.

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and
guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and
building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business
needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on
improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Business Administration, Operations Science, or related field AND 4 years’ experience in
product management, business consulting, or related field OR 6 years’ experience in product management, business consulting, or related field.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Business Administration, Operations Science, or related field.

  • 4 years’ experience in retail, eCommerce, product management, or consulting.

  • Language skills: Japanese, Spanish, or other languages.
