Position Summary

As a Sr. Product Manager, you will play a unique role to drive product vision, define roadmaps, and work closely with key stakeholders to drive and take Walmart’s products to next level. You are responsible for bridging business and technology to drive innovation by owning the product lifecycle.

  • Translate business strategies into product strategies, roadmaps, and product specifications that deliver customer benefits, meet financial goals, and ensure that systems and processes are setup to scale for explosive growth

  • Partner with key stakeholders to define requirements, drive adoption, lead user acceptance testing, and address business and system issues

  • Work with rock star engineering teams in a fast paced, agile development process

  • Analyze data to provide actionable insights

  • Communicate the benefits and champion the system throughout the organization

  • Ability to lead, drive consensus and deliver in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders

  • Metrics driven, can draw insights from large data sets to iterate over product quickly

  • Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly and understand how to drive a high level of focus

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners

  • Strong experience in designing user experience for customer facing products and building mocks for product ideas

  • Experience delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment with a demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into business and product requirements

  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Position Description

  • Maintain a deep understanding of customers’ needs, the product and the competitive landscape.

  • Work collaboratively with an all-star team of product managers.

  • Identify unmet external and internal customer needs and develop product strategies and roadmaps that meet those needs.

  • Gather input from a variety of internal and external sources to define product concepts.

  • Lead feature definition, planning and implementation efforts.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams during the entire lifecycle of product development.

  • Proactively identify problems that arise, outlines options, and recommends solutions.

  • Champion the needs of customers and stakeholders throughout the development process.

  • Operate effectively and independently, even in areas of uncertainty and ambiguity.

  • Drive and communicate product vision, solutions and benefits to customers and stakeholders.

  • Champion company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

    Specific Area of Work:

  • You will be working in the Item Management and Catalog area to develop Merchant Tools for optimizing the customer experience on Walmart.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field

  • 5 years’ experience in product management, business consulting, or related field. Ecommerce experience a plus.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Employs deep subject matter expertise to drive the development of new and innovative ideas, and develops and champions a product area vision and strategy.

  • Produces a product roadmap for an area with proper phasing, communicates product roadmap to cross- functional partners and stakeholders , and proactively identifies and manages interdependencies.

  • Drives the product discovery process for large, complex projects to assess product features and specifications that will solve complex business issues; manages vendor relations for co- developed product features.
