Description The **Senior Production** **Engineer I** is responsible for leadership and support of equipment and facility upgrades, as well as specifying and developing new equipment and process improvements to support plant needs and goals. This position is to work in conjunction with the Manufacturing Section Manager to drive the efficiencies of the overall manufacturing system impacting Quality Operations. This position will lead and support necessary change control to facilitate these process improvements. The proper candidate will have strong organizational and leadership skills to effectively coordinate and prioritize their own time as well as staffing time for daily activities to ensure that work projects are completed efficiently.

+ Actively improve existing systems (batch records, SOPs, training requirements, financial reporting, etc.).

+ Provide technical expertise to STS, Process Engineering and maintenance organization in resolution of difficult non-routine problems

+ Assures professional and quality performance at the highest levels in all activities, meeting times, cost and cGMP requirements.

+ Supports implementation of effective CAPAs and timely completion of corrective actions

+ Expecting to make critical decisions related to cGMP, Quality based and financial based.

+ Identify opportunities for process/product improvements, develop remediation planning for process and quality related gaps and establish the necessary contingency plans

+ Take a direct role in any new product introduction/filing, product transfer support and exhibit batch completion

+ Strong understanding of capacity modeling and analysis as it relates to new equipment installations and process improvement

+ Will exercise leadership/diplomacy in a team-oriented environment when coordinating and working with all levels of employees and contractors.


+ Bachelor's Degree Required, in an Engineering related field preferred (mechanical, electrical, chemical)

+ Requires 5-7 years industrial experience, minimum of 2-3 year experience in Aseptic Manufacturing process related and 2 years of engineering experience.

+ This position requires a high level of resourcefulness as well as the ability to perceive and resolve problems, make difficult decisions, and to find a way to accomplish goals.

+ Must have knowledge of production equipment design and operation, facilities and utilities as well as plc and equipment controls desirable.

+ Must demonstrate the ability to manage assigned funding according to project commitments with little direction from management.

+ Must be comfortable making presentations at all levels of management for manufacturing related metrics.

+ Must be capable of documenting and maintaining records, drawings and certification requirements.

+ Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays.
