The Sr.Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing a variety of projects and deliverables to include projects associated with Operations optimization, Training, Quality and Resource Planning initiatives. Works on a wide range of activities related to department including the development of tools for strategic planning, analysis and development of action plans and project plans.  Assist pharmacy leadership with business process and policy development of programs and productivity initiatives. Assist with report development and analysis to support key initiatives and operations. The primary responsibility of a project coordinator is to keep all the department’s projects and all related processes running smoothly.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
 
  • Assists in the development of tools to track organizational objectives and short and long-range project or program goals. Monitor current projects and coordinates all team members involved to keep workflow on track
  • Assists leadership and other related department team members in the implementation of programs or projects, including planning, developing, implementing and evaluating programs and projects, coordinating project activities, collaborating with project team members, and monitoring progress toward achievement and other projects as assigned
  • Prepares draft agendas for meetings for review with leadership. Schedule all projects related meetings with team and markets, participates in meetings, record minutes and take detailed notes during meetings and provides follow-up correspondence. Prepares appropriate backup materials and arranges for presence of appropriate supervisors, directors and vice president
  • Prepares reports, presentations, verbal/written correspondences, policies, communications, procedures and other required documentation as instructed by leadership
  • Performs moderately complex business analysis and conducts research, analyzes/interprets information on issues, proposals and problems to ensure that adequate data is provided to leadership for decision-making and informational purposes
  • Takes projects from concept through full implementation and control. Arrange and manage team goals/project schedules/new information and keeps all material up-to-date. Communicate timeline changes and new information to team; tracks project changes and adjust schedules as needed
  • Analyzes processes and presents findings to functional leads to develop or improve processes, services and/or programs to support the goals of the enterprise
  • Manages multiple projects at one time with successful outcomes
  • Works closely with IT and business partners to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve product, service and/or business processes
  • Able to serve as a liaison between business and IT to document business and /or technical requirements
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in business, customer service or healthcare related field (Two additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree)
  • Three to five years of progressive responsibility with successful professional assistance, project management or process improvement initiatives
  • 2+ years’ experience with tracking, planning projects, and making data-driven analytical decisions
  • Ability to independently solve moderately complex problems
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects with tight deadlines while paying close attention to the details of all the deliverables
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, organize and complete complex work efforts to meet established objectives
  • Proven ability to successfully develop a project plan or action plans and execute the plan through implementation required
  • Experience in mobilizing teams and maintaining motivation to accomplish goals under stringent timelines required
  • Must collaborate and coordinate work with other team members. Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Outlook required. Working knowledge of Share Point required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or a related field preferred
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Experience with process mapping methodology and creating process maps preferred
  • Health plan, healthcare or clinic operations experience preferred
