Job Title Senior Project Engineer

Location: Rocky Mount, NC

Description The Project Engineer will have overall project management responsibility for technical oversight and implementation of capital projects in a large scale sterile injectable manufacturing facility. This position will manage capital projects from the conceptual phase through qualification and turnover. This includes: developing project scopes, budgets/estimates, schedules, resources, equipment specification and procurement, and managing contract engineering and construction personnel. The position will support the manufacturing, facility and utility operations in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, and will act as a technical subject matter expert on pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and systems. The position will also identify and achieve cost reduction goals through the implementation of innovation and new technologies. The position will support the development of long range plans for site infrastructure, compliance, modernization and manufacturing efficiencies.

**Qualifications**



+ A Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, process, or related engineering discipline is required.

+ A minimum 3 years experience in managing capital projects in a sterile or pharmaceutical environment is required.

+ A strong background in pharmaceutical manufacturing, equipment automation, utilities support systems and clean facilities is required.

+ Strong team leadership abilities. Ability to effectively manage multiple capital projects simultaneously.

+ Proven leader and motivator with strong communication and leadership skills.

+ The position requires an understanding of pharmaceutical processing systems, solutions mixing tanks and equipment, high purity piping distribution systems, aseptic filling operations, terminal sterilization processes, packaging equipment, and clean room facilities design requirements.

+ Communicates effectively at all levels within the organization.

+ Complies with site wide procedures including change control, documentation, deviation reporting, cGMP compliance, safety, and electronic data security.

+ Experience with troubleshooting issues to root cause and recommending/ implementing effective corrective actions.

+ Ability to utilize project management tools for report generation utilizing MS Project, budget tracking and timeline management tools.

+ Can-do attitude and work ethic to take full ownership and proactive measures in managing capital projects.

+ Strong technical, management and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

+ Ability to be hands on, while always thinking strategically.
