ADP is hiring a Senior Project Manager. In this position, you'll lead teams responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and implementation of projects to ensure business goals and objectives are accomplished within designated timeframes and budgets. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the successful installation of TAM (Total Absence Management) projects on time and with high quality. Works with leaders, SMEs, and matrixed resources to design and track project deliverables. Ensures milestones are successfully met through the management of project activities, tasks and coordination of resources. Will be the primary owner within Operations of specific project types, such as Main or Maintenance Release support, Organization Readiness activities, Change Management activities, Process Improvement initiatives, etc. Will represent TAM Operations with matrixed project team resources. Coordinates the transition of a \"live\" client into Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with other leaders and SME's to standardize project management strategies for TAM Projects, evaluating and advancing opportunities to follow AGILE methodologies within the business operations
  • Develop, document and deploy standard project management tools for TAM work streams (i.e. SDLC engagement, Change Management initiatives, escalation support needs, etc.)
  • Collaborate with PM's within the TAM ecosystem to create consistency in project strategy, communication, and artifact management so that TAM projects integrate effectively.
  • Manages the delivery of TAM projects with on time and with quality.
  • Manages the project's scope, timeline and change control. May recalculate timelines in response to a change in scope during the project. Communicates this change to Management and internal teams and manages scope change follow-up with the clients, partners, or matrixed support teams.
  • Generates and maintains key project documents; work-plans, status reports issue and resolution logs and change control documents. Utilizes these documents to communicate project status to the project and Management teams and to clients where necessary. Effectively executes project control and determines appropriate issue resolution/alternative.
  • Develops and communicates the project plan tasks through designated tools, such as Clarizen, MS Project, Excel, or Siebel, and assigns tasks to the appropriate ADP team member. Monitors task progress and mentors new team members on project task execution and ADP product and internal operational procedures.
  • Oversees the inter-department coordination efforts required on specific project tasks relating to Configuration, Data Analysts, Operations, Technical Support, Development, Client Services, and Support Services.
  • Conducts a Welcome Session & Kickoff meeting with the project team establishing roles and responsibilities for the project and introducing the methodology to be used for a successful project completion.
  • Coordinates the transition of new services, features, configurations or processes to Operations and Service teams. Will own one or more project types with expectation of developing effective, sustainable and efficient project processes and materials to enable increased efficiency in project and supporting processes.
  • Will interact with Project Managers from Corporate, IT, or other ADP Product teams to support complex, multi-product/platform initiatives across single or multiple clients.
  • Will need solid understanding of TAM solution and services in order to represent team.
  • Works independently to manage project timelines and risk. Exercises independent judgment for managing risk, scope, and change control.
  • Gathers information necessary to make decisions; anticipates, identifies, eliminates and resolves problems in a timely manner; knows and uses available resources.
  • Works on projects of highest complexity and criticality to ADP where unique and creative solutions are necessary.
  • Works with strategic direction from Operations Leadership.
  • May be a resource for Associate Project Manager or Project Manager.
  • Leads and direct activities of the project resources assigned to the project.



QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in or equivalent in education and/or experience.
  • PMP or equivalent Professional Project Management certification required
  • Minimum of 4 -- 5 years of project management experience

Position can be located in Des Moines, IA or Louisville, KY office.

  • Possesses a good knowledge of TAM, Benefits, or ADP products and processes and industry standard tools.
  • Effectively communicates with executive level managers in a project-oriented setting.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with aggressive, demanding clients.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills for managing multiple, diverse and conflicting activities.
  • Must possess excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement projects highly desirable.
  • Lean, Six sigma or other related training or certificate
  • Advanced knowledge of functional area and related company products
  • Ability to effectively communicate with multiple functions/organizations to identify and negotiate required resources
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to manage across formal organizational lines
  • Strong team leadership and ability to delegate responsibility to all levels of the project team and hold team accountable for deliverables.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Visio
  • Commitment to being accountable for results
  • Ability to interface with and present to all levels of the organization
  • Proven track record of building relationships both internally and externally
