The Senior QA Analyst has an unique opportunity to work in a high growth company, with multiple recent acquisitions, rapidly maturing data and analysis practice, need to shape the future of master data management technology, within the enterprise platform teams to support organization’s goal of becoming the industry standard for automotive data delivery, analysis and quality capabilities. 

The role is responsible for performing quality assurance duties throughout the project lifecycle Informatica MDM (master data management) platform. The quality analyst is required to evaluate business and functional requirements and transform those requirements into test cases and execute those test cases on the MDM platform. The analyst will be accountable for partnering with key roles (e.g. project managers, architects, business analysts, etc.) to develop test plans and execute them based on organization’s quality assurance standards, principles, leveraging common practices and solutions to support the capabilities at Cox Automotive.

To be successful in this role one must be able to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills with delivery and engineering team members, operations support staff and business customers. In addition, the successful Quality Assurance Engineer must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects.

  • Review project documentation for all assigned projects to ensure that the project requirements are clearly defined
  • Analyze project requirements and develop Test Plans and documented test cases that ensure that all functionality is performing as intended
  • Plan and schedule all QA deliverables during project lifecycle
  • Execute on test plans and strategies
  • Conduct formal test case review sessions with project team and incorporate feedback
  • Execute manual test cases, document actual results, and evaluate compared to expected results
  • Execute automated test cases and evaluate compared to expected results
  • Develop SQL queries to retrieve data for validation purposes
  • Troubleshoot unintended results and error logs to investigate cause of unintended results
  • Report defects and escalate issues as needed
  • Regularly report overall project status, including test case execution statistics, defect status, milestone achievement, and satisfaction of quality metrics
  • Contribute to the project success in a team environment while simultaneously completing individual tasks and goals
  • Share knowledge by effectively documenting work
  • Document and facilitate user acceptance testing
  • Analyzing system specifications and user stories to design and develop test cases
  • Ability to lead and mentor others on agile development practices
  • Ability to multitask across different projects
  • Ability to actively participate in discussions to solve problems with project stakeholders
  • Must be a critical thinker with the ability to think outside the box and build test scripts that are comprehensive (include positive tests, negative tests etc.)
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibility to ensure team success and quality solutions
  • Team player that understands how your own work is important to the team's success
  • Experience working with Product Owners/Business Analysts to help refine/clarify business requirements to optimize success criteria
  • Work with minimal supervision on medium and large sized projects.
  • Perform early morning or late night validation when new releases are being deployed into production


  • 5+ years QA experience focusing on software verification in particular with Informatica MDM platform and back-end data validation
  • Minimum  7+ years’ experience testing complex applications
  • 2 years’ experience testing in UNIX environment preferred
  • 7+ years’ experience developing and performing queries against an a Oracle database environment Experience testing business intelligence requirements
  • Experience with a defect tracking tool such as Quality Center
  • Experience with a test case management tool such as Quality Center.
  • Experience with business support software applications such as MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Visio) required

  • Bachelor’s degree in computing related field or equivalent work experience
