As a Senior Report Developer and Data Analyst, you will design and develop reports and analyze data to measure clinical outcomes, operational performance and methodology levers. You will interface with business, compliance, and regulatory affairs in the New Mexico Medicaid plan to meet its contractual requirements.  Along with your team, you will identify potential areas for system improvements and ensure quality in our work. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them
  • Gather and document business requirements; assesses, interprets and analyzes customer needs and requirements
  • Perform comparative analysis between data sets looking for data trends and data abnormalities and write a summary on the trends in the data
  • Compile, collate, and validate data for contractual reporting from multiple sources and preparing it for state submission
  • Serves as a key team member on complex and/or critical issues
  • Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions
  • Reviews work performed by others and provides recommendations for improvement
  • May lead functional or segment teams or projects
  • Provides explanations and information to others on the most complex issues
  • Motivates and inspires other team members
  • Interpret and analyze claims, clinical and membership data in support of healthcare operations and utilization analyses
  • Communicate analysis and interpretation to appropriate audience
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of work experience in a corporate setting
  • 2+ years working in a team environment
  • 2+ years of experience performing significant data analysis and report development
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL coding and query writing
  • At least an intermediate level of proficiency working with MS Excel including formulas, calculations, charts, graphs, etc.
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and / or inaccurate data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated to prioritize work on multiple complex assignments
  • Ability to work successfully in an ever-changing, priority driven environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and produce high-quality work
  • Ability to work successfully in a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate analysis to customer base in writing and verbally
  • Ability to independently problem solve and research data issues
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities
  • Incredible attention to detail and passion for doing great work
  • Experience with change management methodologies
  • Experience in the healthcare insurance industry preferred
  • 1+ years of health care experience working with claims data and medical codes
