As a Senior Financial Analyst, you'll collaborate with an elite team of accounting and finance professionals who impact decisions that help millions live healthier lives.

In this role, you will:
Hold responsibility for the accounting, reporting, and analysis of paid and incurred medical costs and associated claim reserves across multiple product lines. This can be accomplished by:

  • Gaining an understanding of the medical cost drivers of our health insurance products
  • Partnering with our Actuarial, Accounting, and Regulatory teams to ensure financial accuracy and statutory rules compliance
  • Ensuring that claim system reporting and financial transactions align with data warehouses
  • Designing and updating reports and analysis to help assess business trends.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and ensure accuracy of general ledger data and other business and financial metrics

  • Develop and update financial reports to clearly report and communicate actual results, forecasted performance; and variances to plan, forecast and budget

  • Maintain financial databases that are necessary to meet complex regulatory requirements

  • You'll be expected to understand and incorporate industry specific metrics into reports to highlight relevant trends and support fact-based business decision

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of financial and/or accounting experience
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access, and other MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CPA
  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase, Planning and PeopleSoft Financials
  • Experience with Statutory Accounting Reporting and Rules
  • Microstrategy and/or SAS query experience
