Assist us with research and development projects that cover a broad functional spectrum and may include a variety of components - business development, operations, pricing and bid strategy, M&A, due diligence, public policy, portfolio analysis and market and competitive intelligence. Collect and interpret research and analyses of markets, trends, competitors, products and services for use in our operational and strategic planning/decisions. You will use your technical - modeling and research - skills to collaborate closely with senior project leads needed to diagnose business problems, develop custom analytic solutions and interact frequently with staff across business units to ensure that analysis requirements and data sets are well understood. You must be self-directed and creative as you will deal with some very interesting and complex issues. As a key resource to others you must maintain a high degree of accuracy along with attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to always meet deadlines.


The Sr. Research Analyst is responsible for answering inquiries from customers while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximizing productivity.  Positions in this function are responsible for providing expertise and customer service support to members, customers, and/or providers. Direct phone-based customer interaction to answer and resolve a wide variety of inquiries.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contact provider / medical groups and ask them to participate in the program (Medicare RA / ACA)
  • Applies knowledge / skills to perform outreach to provider / medical groups to assess the retrieval partners quality
  • Solves moderately complex problems on own
  • Works with team to solve complex problems
  • Plan, prioritize, organize and complete work to meet established goals
  • Demonstrate understanding of internal / external factors that may drive provider questions
  • Ask appropriate questions and listen actively to identify underlying questions/issues (e.g., root cause analysis)
  • Identify and communicate steps / solutions to caller questions / issues, using appropriate problem-solving skills and established guidelines, where available (e.g., workarounds, descriptions of relevant processes)
  • Offer additional options to provide solutions / positive outcomes for the provider / medical group
  • Drive resolution of caller questions / issues on the first call whenever possible (e.g., first-call resolution, one-and-done)
  • Ensure proper documentation of caller questions / issues (e.g., research conducted, steps required, final resolution)
  • Meet the performance goals established for the position in the areas of: efficiency, call quality, customer satisfaction, first call resolution and attendance
  • Positions in this function include those responsible for research and development projects. They collect and interpret research and analyses of markets, trends, competitors, products and services for use in operational business planning / decisions and strategic planning / decisions. May direct research grants, research projects and involvement with academic studies
  • Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed
  • Works with less structured, more complex issues
  • Serves as a resource to others
