The Sr. Sales Trainer is responsible for facilitating the sales training program for the Cox Automotive Retail Solutions field sales organization and is part of the fast-paced sales operations team.  This position will work closely with the various business unit sales leadership teams to ensure our sales organization is performing at the highest levels and includes:  Onboarding new sellers, facilitating our field sales training (CEB), coordinating product & demo enhancement training, and internal sales process training (SFDC).  This position will require travel (50%) and the remainder of the time you will work with the sales support training team developing a sales training curriculum, training materials, and conducting sales training webinars for the field sales organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Leads the facilitation of sales training, onboarding, and sales process training for the Cox Automotive Retail Solutions sales teams and coordination on the delivery of product training programs.
  • Works closely with the sales leadership teams to assess and analyze current state environment.
  • Conducts analysis of performance gaps and job/task/needs analysis and synthesizes the data gathered to create models and recommendations for training (includes sales skills evaluation and performance improvement recommendations and resolution).
  • Develops and delivers concise, creative, and effective instruction and course deliverables including participant materials, quick-reference guides, and job aides as part of the national sales training programs (new hires as well as the current sales staff).
  • Works with the sales support teams to successfully train sellers on the post-sale internal processes, ensuring all orders are placed accurately and timely, following the billing and asset management checklist.
  • Facilitates the field sales and sales trainer relationship through active participation in the regional sales meetings and sales team interaction.
  • Responsible for coordinating field sales support material with the internal sales support content development team.




Qualifications

  • Must have at least 5 years of sales training experience.
  • Outstanding relationship management capabilities, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate, communicate, and present in an engaging manner.
  • Exceptional listening skills, with the ability to detect problem/risks.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, capable of working in a team environment.
  • Personal qualities and style requirements include possessing high energy, enthusiasm, resilience, determination, and a high level of detail.
  • Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management Systems.
  • Computer literacy including MS Office Suite.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • CEB certification a plus.
