The Senior Scientist will serve as a critical member of the Analytical Sciences team and is responsible for the oversight of key functional and strategic aspects of PAB's, PI's and PGCS's innovation and productivity initiatives involving. The position requires initiation and involvement in the development and validation of analytical methods, assistance on investigations and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will make detailed observations, analyze data, interpret results, and exercise appropriate technical judgment in the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments. The candidate will work independently and collaborate with other team members and other groups.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, develop, validate and implement new analytical technologies to support innovative, productivity and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Collaborate in cross functional technical teams to resolved critical business issues.
  • Coordinate and oversee outside laboratory testing activities associated with projects assuring quality of data (GLP)..
  • Manage multiple projects with the ability to independently prioritize work load in a demanding and changing environment.
  • Prepare technical documents, presentations, executive summaries and document all activities demonstrating effective communication to technical and non-technical audiences.


  • MS (3-5 years' experience) or PhD in Analytical Chemistry or other related chemistry discipline.
  • Food/Beverage Industry experience a plus.
  • Experience in a regulated laboratory environment a plus (GXP).
  • Experience with HPLC, UHPLC, LCMS, GCMS.
  • Experience working in cross functional teams.
  • Basic computers skills with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with electronic notebook, Scifinder and ChemDraw a plus.

Critical Competencies:

  • Demonstrate in depth knowledge for a broad range of analytical instruments, with a strong focus in advanced instrumentation.
  • Demonstrate in depth knowledge of analytical method validation protocols.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate implications of experimental results.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate in depth knowledge for a broad range of analytical instruments, with a strong focus in advanced instrumentation.
  • Ability to flawlessly execute analytical processes using appropriate GLP.
  • Demonstrate expertise and strong knowledge of chemistry.
  • Working knowledge of statistics as applied to analytical chemistry.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, identify root cause and implement corrective action.
  • Organizes complex information using appropriate media and presents with context and clarity.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
