*Role Description*

We are seeking a Senior Scientist to lead an immune-oncology therapeutic program from discovery to the clinic. The position is within the Immunology and Metabolism Group at Rinat, Pfizer's biotech Research Unit in South San Francisco. Rinat specializes in antibody-based immune-oncology therapeutics. Working in collaboration with Rinat's Protein Engineering group, the candidate will champion novel immune-oncology drug development programs. They will be responsible for the day-to-day management, and long-term success, of these drug development efforts.



*Responsibilities*

We are seeking candidates who:*Have a successful track record in leading projects in immunology research or antibody drug development in oncology *Are well-versed with the current literature and advances in the field*Can rigorously apply in vitro and in vivo immune models to generate key decision-making datasets*Have a track record of fruitful collaboration, preferably across multiple subject areas*Demonstrate meticulous record-keeping skills *Are comfortable regularly presenting data to scientists and senior leadershipAn ideal candidate will also have demonstrated experience in the following areas:*Designing and executing pre-clinical murine tumor models*Translating mouse in vivo data to human primary cell in vivo and ex vivo assays*A deep understanding of T cell and/or NK cell biology, and of models that interrogate and modulate cells / mediators at the innate/adaptive immune interphase.



*Qualifications*

*B.S. degree with 15 years in industry, M.S. degree with 10 years in industry, or PhD with 2 years' post-doctoral training, preferably in Immunology or a related field.*Extensive hands on experience in state of the art immunology techniques including mutli-parameter flow cytometric analysis and sorting, cytokine analysis, functional assays, imaging. *Previous experience with tumor models is a plus.*Previous experience with human T cells and NK cells is a plus.*Previous experience in antibody drug discovery is a plus.*Strong motivation with a dedicated work ethic. *Excellent oral presentation and communication skills.Other requirements:Standing, walking, working in the lab, working with rodent animals.
