What You'll Do

You're Senior Software Developer and for this position will be responsible from the development, support and integration of Cisco's highly visible global Source Code Control Management system. This work will also continue to advance Cisco's best in industry source code development practices

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proposing, planning, and architecting new solutions.
  • Creation of new tooling (from concept inception to productization)
  • Support and maintenance of existing functionality
  • Providing tech talks and training for users
  • Performance & Usability Evaluation
  • Communication and Collaboration with the broader, Cisco-wide developer community

Who You're

Skills Required:

  • Typically requires MSEE/CS combined plus 10+ years of related architecture and engineering leadership experience.
  • Python and Perl with a focus on object oriented design
  • Experience in Source Code Control systems development and administration; git, SVN, ClearCase, etc
  • SCM concepts and experience specific to binary artifact management (Maven, Artifactory)
  • Unix/Linux familiarity key; administrative skills beneficial
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal) with an ability to easily work with many diverse groups and levels of technological understanding
  • Proven ability to make and meet development dedications.
  • Creative & motivated to be a change agent
  • 6+ years experience.

Highly Desirable:

  • SCM code sharing experience across multiple SCM's
  • Integration of SCM functionality into Build, Release, and defect tracking tools
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration systems (Jenkins)
  • Experience with databases: MongoDB, Oracle, etc.
  • Experience with web services very helpful
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks
