As a Senior Software Engineer, you are responsible for designing/support high performance and scalable databases, analytical systems in the next generation Intelligence and Service Assurance projects.City:SUNNYVALEState:CAPosition Description:



+ Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Software Engineering and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans

+ Leads and participates in medium- to large-scale projects

+ Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design

+ Leads the work of other small groups of four to six engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects

+ Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

+ Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions

+ Provides support to the business

+ Troubleshoots business and production issues

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 5 years of experience developing, designing and building e-commerce or software applications OR Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 2 years of experience developing, designing and building ecommerce applications or mobile software

Hands on experience in Solr cloud, Kafka, Spark, Hadoop

Experience in Agile Methodology, RDBMS, any of the NoSQL Technologies (Cassandra, Spark, Hbase, Hadoop,Flink,Presto,Solr, Elastic Search)

Experience managing large scale Kafka broker, manager and ZooKeeper

Working knowledge of hardware, including RAID, multi-processor architecture

Experience supporting Cassandra/Solr system in a clustered environment in progressively challenging and/or similar roles

Experience in agile methodologies

Experience troubleshooting tasks

3+ years of object oriented programming experience in Java, or similar language

2-3 years experience with programming languages like python.

Experience with Linux operating system
