The Global Business & Technology Solutions organization is looking to fill a vacancy within the Infrastructure Server Support team. The successful candidate will interface with multiple disciplines, including Problem and Change Management, Platform Engineering, Network Operations, Storage Operations, Infrastructure Application support, Relationship Managers, Service Providers, vendors, and various business contacts, in support of domestic and international locations and datacenters. The primary responsibilities include:

Lead medium to large scale projects

Provide onsite and remote Microsoft Windows Server Hardware and OSI support for 7x24 mission critical environments

Provide primary support for Microsoft File, Print, and DFS servers for both domestic and international locations

Receive, rack, stack, install (& decommission) equipment. Facilitate power, cable, network & storage connectivity for new systems

Maintain hardware inventories & perform routine maintenance support activities

Interact with internal groups and vendor support staff to troubleshoot problems and perform root cause analysis as required

Assist with MS Security patching, infrastructure application deployments and compliance activities

Build, install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot & support Microsoft Windows Servers

Provide directed ‘hands-on’ support for other technologies including Unix servers, NAS & storage devices, Network & Telecom equipment

Perform Proof Of Concept (POC) trials for hardware and software as needed

Coordinate onsite events and planned outages with local Business Partners, as appropriate.

Develop and adhere to standard operating procedures and protocols

Follow enterprise change and problem management procedures

Participate in Disaster Recovery infrastructure planning, building, and testing

Create and maintain automated utilities and processes including server build automation and customer facing request systems

Support on and off premise cloud offerings

Work independently as needed

Some travel may be required


Minimum 4 years supporting Windows Server environments

Strong analytical and problem solving skills within a diverse Windows environment

Understanding of Microsoft Windows Server technologies - Active Directory, WINS, DNS, Windows Domain Controllers, as well as managing users and permissions

Understanding of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager

Understanding of virtual environments (VMWare/ESX)

Experience with the following software: Windows OS (2008 R2, 2012 R2), ESX/VMWare

Experience with some of the following vendor’s hardware and monitoring platforms: Standalones, Blades; IBM (Director), HP (Systems Insight Mgr/OnView), Dell (Open Manage Essentials), Microsoft, Linux, VMWare (vCenter/VCOPS)

Strong written and oral communication skills

Ability to work in a highly active, fast paced production environment, to meet critical deadlines and SLA's

Bachelor's Degree is a plus, preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

MS Azure/Amazon AWS

Microsoft SQL server

Scripting skills (PowerShell, VBScript, PowerCLI, C, C#, WinBatch, Visual Studio, Perl)

Understanding of various deployment methodologies (virtual templates, MDT, Light Touch)

Must be available outside of normal business hours to fulfill production and project deliverables

Must provide 7x24 on-call support on a rotating basis
