Description AT&T Public Sector Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Specialist Network Systems Engineer to fill this vacancy. The candidate will provide direct, on-site support to the Space and Missile Systems Center, Space Superiority Systems Directorate (SMC/SY) in El Segundo CA. Specific work to be performed includes the following:



SMC/SY Classified Communications Network Management



+ Provide skill level and experience in classified communications network management support to ensure integrated support requirements are planned and executed for the Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) Secure Government Network (SGN) and all activities associated with employing SGN and Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) connectivity for SMC/SY systems both in development and in operations.

+ Be knowledgeable with Defense Systems Agency (DISA) activities, e.g. circuit processing, connection approval processes, etc.

+ Provide secure voice, video, and data communications in the development and continued evolution of the AFSPC SGN on wide and local area networks (WANs/LANs).

+ Ensure SIPRNet connectivity for SMC/SY programs leveraging SIPRNet for day-to-day operations at Government and Contractor locations.

+ Provide support to Government program managers with WAN/LAN development activities by evaluating design options, finalizing developer's product improvement plans (to include engineering designs and implementation plans), and ensuring the developer maintains highly functional, scalable secure networks.

+ Provide physical network connectivity design, engineering, installation, test and acceptance, fault isolation, and life cycle management to SMC/SY customers.

+ Review Government contractual documents (e.g. Request for Quote (RFQ), RFP, PWS, etc.) for technical accuracy and provide cost analysis of contractor proposals.

+ Provide configuration management duties to include tracking new requirements, location changes, network modifications, installations, and location removals.

+ Provide technical briefings to facilitate proposed Class 1 changes to the SGN network and assist the Government with preparing the necessary briefings and documents to submit changes to configuration control boards.

+ Provide expertise, to include proactively identifying potential risks to program managers at technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program conferences, VTCs, telecoms, working groups, and informational meetings to facilitate informed decisions.

+ Provide network expertise to SMC/SY program managers and lead resolution of system deficiencies associated with program implementation of SGN and SIPRNet.



+ Ten (10) years experience in the following area desired

+ SGN Networks, Classified VTC Networks, COMSEC Management, SIRPNet Networks

+ Experience in Space systems, Space Control, SSA, or Space C2 acquisition preferred

+ Effective written and oral communication skills required

+ Ability to function in a multi-contractor/customer environment

+ Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills



Security Clearance Requirement: Active DoD TS/SCI



Desired DoD TS with SCI eligibility considered



Education and Training Requirements: Baccalaureate degree in a communications discipline Technical Writing or related field or 10 years Communications management experience desired
