The SQA engineer will participate in the design and implementation process for new products. The candidate should have a can-do attitude, enjoy a challenge and have a desire for perfection.

Position Description:

Project Planning & Testing

Participate in the design and implementation process for new and existing products.

Define and implement gray-box and white-box tests and automate testing suites for core technologies, products, mobile and web-based applications.

Develop, write and maintain test automation Frame work and scripts where applicable.

Test data and perform business applications Functional System and Integration (End-to-End) tests for new and existing applications.

Advise project teams on appropriate approaches to testing delivered products, including test tool sets.

Provide guidance to development and project teams on the creation of a Master Test Plan and other testing-related deliverables.

Assist project teams on identifying the needs for appropriate test environments; coordinate the establishment of appropriate test environments.

Oversee processes for identifying, tracking and reporting the results of test procedures.

Responsible for finding, tracking and prioritizing bugs and driving toward their resolution.

Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.

Production Support

Responsible for working on more complex- and business-critical areas of the site.

Participate in the testing of Production Emergency Bug Fixes.

Develop/modify test cases for new emergency bug fixes.

Must be occasionally available for rotating on-call support duties, and to periodically participate in after-hours release testing.

+ Creates comprehensive software quality assurance (SQA) project plans

+ Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans

+ Develops software quality assurance (SQA) test plans for assigned projects

+ Files, verifies, and resolves defect tickets

+ Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

+ Performs quality assurance testing for medium to large-scale projects, tools, and software

+ Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions

+ Serves as a training resource to software quality assurance (SQA) Engineers I and II

Minimum Qualifications: 5 years working as SQA experience in a commercial software/consumer electronics company, with unit testing, regression and system testing implementing sound methodologies and plans.

Design automation framework from scratch.

Understanding client server multi-tier architecture.

2-3 years automation experience.

Experience in writing Python or Perl scripts to automate testing tasks.

Experience with automated testing tools (Ranorex, Selenium, TestNG highly desirable).

Experience in developing tools/scripts to aid in testing client/server and iOS and Android application.

Skills in Unix required.

Knowledge of XML, Java Script, Java, Python and HTML required.

Complete and thorough knowledge of the SDLC and testing methodologies.

Experience in at least one computer programming or test language.

Experience with multi-tiered corporate systems.
