Primary Responsibilities:
  • Review daily alerts to determine if files need to be submitted outside of the normal filing period to avoid filing transactions late
  • Shared responsibility for correcting validation errors in failed queue
  • Ensure that the daily tasks required to meet all production deadlines and data quality standards are being met
  • Correct errors and resubmit claims rejected by the states prior to state deadlines
  • Must alert manager when transactions are late or approaching late and analyst cannot meet deadline for filing to avoid lateness. This allows manager to allocate additional resources to avoid fines and penalties
  • Create and maintain various stored procedures in Microsoft SQL. Requires specifications, coding and testing under direction of Director of State Reporting
  • Participate in the vetting process of logic changes relating to State Reporting functions with team. Create process flow diagrams to ensure consistency between validations and development code
  • Perform QA of e-filing code changes prior to production release. Review test plans and cases with developer. This ensures the analysts understand what code changes are being released and ensures that the quality and integrity of data being sent is maintained
  • Participate in the decision making process as it relates to team duties
  • Meet with the Account Managers according to a regular schedule to review and discuss the weekly Patient Missing Data Reports
  • Fully participate in the research, communication and payment of fined transactions
  • Analyze and respond to client questions and concerns.  Resolve issues
  • Maintain contacts with the various state workers compensation governing agencies to ensure that new Carrier and Insurer registrations are complete
  • Monitor state websites and reports in order to provide team with information about late claim filings as well as state assessed fines
  • Research late transaction filings and payment penalties for the Account Manager.
  • Generate and send various reports to Account Managers and Senior Management according to schedules
  • As client or internal BI reports are needed, create SQL logic and design report layout for BI to code the new or revised report. QA the report with the BI team and assist in training the users
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Other tasks as directed by the Company
  • Assist other departments with various regulatory related tasks

Required Qualifications:
  • Medium to high proficiency in Microsoft SQL with ability to independently grow skills to next level. Competency in complicated joins, views, pivot tables and stored procedure logic
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook
  • Proficient in Visio
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with 837, 824, and 997 file formats
  • Experience with FTP
