Position Title: Senior Storage Administrator
Job Code: 392918
Job Location: New Jersey-Roseland
The selected candidate will work with the Global Business Technology Solutions (GBTS) Distributed Storage Operations and Storage Engineering groups. Primary responsibilities would be day-to-day operations of the enterprise distributed storage infrastructures, with a focus on Network Attached, Object Storage and Cloud Computing as well as creating and maintaining automated tools and solutions to help with reporting and operational support for company’s Storage environment.
Other responsibilities would include physical installation of new hardware, periodic software maintenance upgrades, level 2 support, troubleshooting, monitoring and reporting, alerting, capacity management, maintenance of daily processes, and performance tuning. 

The ideal candidate should have significant working experience in the required technical areas, be highly motivated and have excellent writing and communication skills.

Experience in the following areas is required:


• Network Attached Storage (Netapp/IBM N-Series, CDOT and 7-Mode)

• Netapp OnCommand

• Storage Based Snapshots

• Storage Based Replication

• Business Continuation and Disaster Recovery experience as related to Enterprise Storage Infrastructure

Experience in any of the following would be a strong plus:


• Scripting/automation skills: PowerShell (Strong plus), Python/UNIX shell/Perl

• IBM or Hitachi Block Storage

• Hitachi Object Storage (HCP, HDI)

• Windows and/or UNIX Operating Systems Administration

• Enterprise automation (ServiceNow)

• DevOps experience

• Strong general understanding of enterprise IT operations and relevant technology (servers, storage, backups)

• Strong Office Applications technical skills – MS Word, Visio, PowerPoint and MS Project


Additional job requirements include:


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work overtime as required

• Provide 7x24 on-call support when required

• Provide internal hotline support for business groups and operations

• Provide off-hour problem and change implementation support

• Produce technical documentation including operations run books, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
