Unit Description

Sodexo has an exciting NEW Senior Systems Administrator (Learning and Performance, Technology) position now available in our Learning and Performance Group.  This position will be available in Gaithersburg, MD, Allentown, PA and as a virtual position (home office). Flexible work arrangements will be considered.  The Senior Systems Administrator is the lead role for administration, system implementation, business process design, project management, and security ownership of the Learning and Performance systems suite, including the Learning Management System (LMS).
 
The Senior Systems Administrator (Learning and Performance, Technology) will:

 

  • Lead systems administrator, responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the systems and related processes. Manages system integration between internal and external systems. Possess technical expertise to effectively implement new systems and maintain current systems. Responsible for taking initiative to research new technology, both internal and external to Sodexo, ing the new knowledge to our business processes.
  • Project lead for Learning and Performance technical projects, of significant scope requiring full project life-cycle including requirements, design, development, conversion, testing and deployment. All projects are technical in nature and require significant technical knowledge and experience. Regularly coordinates with Global team and influences related global projects and or processes.
  • Builds vendor relationships driving conversions and liaison with applicable vendors to identify and resolve technical issues in the system.
  • Responsible for aligning system processes with business needs; leading the direction to ensure customer satisfaction and business success. Provide consultative services to learning teams on the feasibility of system support for proposed training programs
  • Maintains a service delivery model that provides effective self-service, help desk, and escalation within resource limitations. Is responsible for creating and maintaining policies and procedures for the system with a focus on effectiveness and efficiency

 

The preferred candidate will have the following background/skillset:
- Associate's Degree in computer science or related field
- 3 years of experience in system administration or support
- 3 years of experience in messaging and collaboration
- Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree in computer science or related field
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in messaging and collaboration

Position Summary

The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for the technical administration and will manage projects and division administrators in the system. Projects that will be managed under this position require full project life cycle expertise and collaboration throughout NORAM HR leadership and the Global HRIS team. Incumbent will be considered the Subject Matter Expert within respective system arena. This position will possess technical expertise to effectively troubleshoot, implement new systems, drive conversions and liaison with applicable vendors to identify and resolve technical issues in the system. This position will also work closely with division administrators and manage the security roles and domain assignment for those administrators. This position will also serve as an escalation resource for troubleshooting and customer service support for users. They will be responsible for creating and maintaining policies and procedures for the system, aligning system processes with business needs; leading the direction to ensure customer satisfaction and business success. Additionally, they will maintain a service delivery model that provides effective self-service, help desk, and escalation within resource limitations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree 
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in messaging and collaboration
