The Sr Software Engineer is responsible for assisting scrum teams in the successful creation and delivery of Tableau reports for internal and external clients. The Sr. Software Engineer supports, effectively guides and builds cutting edge reports and will work closely with Engineering Leadership and key stakeholders across the company to help execute on the strategic priorities of the company

Your Role:
  • Responsible for Tableau administration, including user provisioning, server management, license administration, and version upgrades.
  • Ensure standards and best practices are established and met for consistent and accurate use of Tableau across the company.
  • Develop cutting edge reports, mentors other engineers on Tableau best practices, and act as a supporting resource for other developers. 
  • Develop and provides documentation, training, and support for clients.
  • Participate in client meetings to understand project definitions and offer design reviews.
  • Evaluate the needs and requirement of the users and provides technical expertise in the development of technical, structural and organizational specifications. Determines appropriateness of data for storage and optimum storage organization.
  • Create, documents and implements standards as well as complex modeling and enhance the capacity and performance of the Tableau environments.


  • Bachelor's degree is required in Computer Science or related field
  • 5 + years of Tableau development and administration experience. 
  • 5+ years of experience working with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server stack preferred, but not required).
  • Strong SQL coding of at least 5 years.
  • Strong data modeling skills of at least 2+ years. 
  • Proven ability to support and advance software teams. 
  • Experience with an Agile or SCRUM based methodology. 
  • Effective communicator both verbal and written. 
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve problems independently with creative approaches.
