Scope:

The Senior Vice President, Logistics will lead all efforts from strategy to execution, including defining and/or driving the logistics transportation business.  This individual will be responsible for maximize market return and deliver high level of products and services to our clients. The SVP, Logistics has responsibility for the overall strategy and performance of logistics products to achieve the short and long term goals.  This role works with a team of operational leaders and the sales team to achieve the revenue growth and penetration targets for Logistics, Inventory Solutions & CAI. This role will work and collaborate with leadership teams across Inventory Solutions and Cox Automotive.

It is critical for the SVP, Logistics to plan strategically for the future by building teams, systems and processes capable of scaling to a substantially larger capacity, while optimizing the existing assets of the company. They will drive and champion the vision, mission and strategy of Logistics to align with the overall Inventory Solutions goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops and implements strategies for driving market share growth through Logistics. In addition, executes on a plan to increase market share, add new customers, and increase incremental growth.

• Responsibility & accountability for growing transactions and revenues across the Logistics products & services. 

• Evaluate overall strategy of Logistics based on current process and future client demands. Set strategy as appropriate to maximize and grow overall Logistics & Inventory Solutions revenue.

• Provide strategic leadership for the development and implementation of consistent processes, products and necessary technology solutions related to Logistics.

• Strategically lead and influence teams of leaders and managers in the matrix organization across many functional areas and business units including but not limited to Inventory Services, Sales, Client Experience, Product Development, Marketing, etc. to achieve the goals of the Logistics organization and Inventory Solutions.

• Ability to balance long range strategic Logistics initiatives while executing on shorter term, practical efforts that have an immediate and visible impact.

• Leverage partnership with other Cox Automotive businesses for alignment with the vision and goals of Logistics in order to introduce new solutions and products to enhance client experience, grow market share, and provide end-to-end solutions for our clients.

• Build relationships with key customers (internal and external) and ensure Logistics is consistently meeting or exceeding goals.

• Works in partnership with Product, Technology, Operations, and other teams/departments across Inventory Solutions and CAI to compete successfully in the marketplace.

• Demonstrates flexibility and creative thinking when forming strategies and solution for clients and creates solutions that go beyond current/existing boundaries and goals of Logistics to improve the overall marketplace and company performance.

• Enables the leadership team to question assumptions and adapt quickly to shifting business priorities based on our client expectations.

• Effectively lead the leadership team by setting an example in behavior, championing Cox Automotive values and ensuring that all team members are treated with respect; create a pro-team member work environment.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics, or equivalent work experience required; MBA preferred.

• 10+ years managerial experience in positions with increasing responsibilities required; previous experience in a Senior Leadership roles preferred.

• Strong logistics, auction and/or automotive experience is essential, but not required.

• Effective and competent management, leadership and organizational skills required.

• Knowledge of sales building initiatives, P&L and the ability to act decisively based on sound judgment.

• Ability to achieve business results through influence, executive presence, strategic thinking, and effective problem solving skills.

Work Environment:

• Occasional exposure to weather conditions, fumes, and noise.
