Description

Technology Co-op students at Cox are considered to be an integral part of the Technology staff.They are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating.They work under the guidance of the senior staff.

We have various opportunities within our Enterprise Dev & Ops/Application Developmentteam for enthusiastic individuals who are willing to learn new technologies.The Enterprise Dev & Ops team is responsible for the development, maintenance and operations of our applications, tools and services to support our internal and external customers.

Projects/Assignments may include but are not limited to the following:

1.Develop exciting new customer facing web applications for multi-device access (mobile, PC, tablet)

2.Build prototypes and solutions in Java, PHP, or other development languages

3.Build automated solutions for manual processes

4.Maintain, develop, and enhance development tools

5.Augmenting existing documentation

6.Provide demonstrations and presentations of solutions to key stakeholders

7.Work as a liaison between technical teams and business sponsors while documenting process and procedures, analyzing workflows, and writing requirement specifications

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

1.      Currently enrolled in a related degree program such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology.

2.      Able to commit to a minimum of three Co-op semester rotations

3.      Student must be eligible to work in the United States

 

Preferred

One or more of the following

1.      Familiarity with UNIX/Linux

2.      Some programming experience (introductory programming classes are acceptable)

3.      Experience with Java, HTML, Javascript, Shell scripting, Perl, PHP would be a plus

4.      Exposure to Software/Web Applications

5.      Understanding of Agile methodologies
