Description:

The Walmart, Inc. Team is looking for a creative, results-oriented Shopper Marketing Director who thrives in a fast-paced environment to lead a team in developing and executing the Shopper Marketing Strategy to support PepsiCo's growth objectives at Walmart, inc. This role will be critical in driving volume, sales and brand equity across the North America Nutrition portfolio (Quaker, Tropicana, and Naked). The SM Director will act as the primary point person for all PepsiCo marketing at both Walmart and Sam's Club inclusive of leading the Joint Business Planning (JBP) and Shopper Marketing planning processes and driving transformational capabilities with our customer partners. In addition to being part of the greater marketing organization, this role is wired into both Walmart and Sam's Club internal sales and is part of the internal Walmart and Sam's Club Leadership Teams - providing great commercial collaboration and organizational visibility.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the team in delivering a marketing strategy that drives growth through translation of AOP Big Bets and other initiatives.
  • Lead the Development and execution of differentiated Shopper Marketing programming grounded in brand, consumer, shopper and retailer insights.
  • Assess customer strategic positioning relative to trends, shoppers and competitors in order to identify white space opportunities for growth.
  • Lead annual joint business planning (JBP) process.
  • Provide thought leadership to raise level of strategic thinking, marketing creativity and advancement of the business agenda.
  • Collaborate with key cross functional partners to identify opportunities for growth and build selling stories. Specific partnership opportunities exist within both the Digital and eCommerce strategic spaces.
  • Lead the Better Together agenda and activation plans.
  • Align customer and internal brand teams on customer relevant programs and strategies.
  • Manage a team of two associates currently based in Chicago, IL.

Education/Certifications:

  • Minimum Qualification: Undergraduate Degree
  • Preferred: MBA with a concentration in Marketing

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years prior Marketing experience preferred
  • Prior Marketing experience within consumer packaged goods
