The Social Media Content Specialist - HR executes the Human Resources social media plan by maintaining social media profiles across various platforms (Glassdoor, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, G+, YouTube, etc.) for UHS corporate HR and subsidiaries of UHS. Performs copywriting, posting, and reporting functions to support assigned accounts. Engages in social conversations related to UHS and its facilities. Monitors posts and notifications for errors and responses in real time with market sensitivity and constant care. Performs follow-up with HR, Risk/Legal when necessary. Works with others in the department and at the facilities to plan and conceptualize, schedule, develop and implement new and ongoing social media platforms.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Provides content for corporate and hospital Human Resources social media profiles.
  • Engages in social conversations regarding UHS, its facilities and career opportunities. Monitors posts and notifications for errors and responses in real time with market sensitivity and constant care. Performs follow up with local and corporate HR to answer questions and provide social care, as needed.
  • Collaborates with Human Resource Directors for assigned hospitals and the corporate office to assist in planning and production of content that matches and reinforces hospital and corporate goals.
  • Fluent in online “buzz” surrounding hospitals and corporate home office.
  • Collaborates with internal advertising team (designers, copywriters, web team, etc.) to coordinate activities and ensure that online content is integrated into ongoing HR campaigns.
  • Assists with search engine optimization efforts for HR.
  • Stays current with trends and technology in social media, identifies opportunities to apply new technology and techniques to platforms to gain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintains ongoing content plans for HR social media accounts.
  • Creates new project specifications.
  • Develops robust reporting structure to measure success and growth.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required, with 1 - 3 years Social Media experience required, with preference for HR degree, or HR experience.  Working knowledge of Glassdoor, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest for business purposes and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite. Must have excellent writing skills and the ability to write about complex subjects in a way that is interesting and easy-to-read for the average website/social media user. Working knowledge of social media copywriting techniques, best practices and familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques for web and social media. Fluent in AP Style and experience with WordPress preferred. Has strong time management skills, is able to handle many concurrent tasks/projects, has a flexible and collaborative work style, is able to work independently and/or with the Social Media Manager and Director of Public Relations, and works well within a fast-paced corporate environment. One year experience minimum.
