Mayhill Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Social Service Manager. Mayhill Hospital located in Denton, TX just north of Dallas and Fort Worth, is a 59-bed private psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care for adults and seniors. We are one of the few facilities in the area that can provide care to those individuals with both coexisting psychiatric and medical conditions. We are uniquely trained to provide care to seniors who have exhausted their psychiatric days. The Social Service Manager will assist the Director of Clinical Services (DCS) in fulfilling the social work function of the clinical services department. The Social Service Manager is typically a social worker in the clinical services department who, in addition to the regular duties of a Mayhill Hospital program therapist, ensures that all social work functions are provided in accordance with accepted standards of practice adopted by the National Association of Social Workers and with all Federal and/or State regulations and guidance for the performance of social work. The Social Service Manager oversees the quality and appropriateness of such social work functions as: 1) psychosocial assessments, 2) treatment planning, 3) discharge planning/case management services, 4) high social risk case finding, and 5) liaison services with community-based social and mental health agency(ies).

Job Requirements

Education:  Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work from an accredited program of higher education.

Licensure:   Current licensure from the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners to practice the profession of social work, e.g., LMSW or LCSW.

Experience:  Minimum of two (2) years’ experience practicing in a psychiatric and/or mental health field. Minimum of two (2) years’ of management/supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications: A strong knowledge of Joint, HCFA, OSHA regulations, CMS and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.

Additional Requirements: Must be able to complete CPR and Handle with Care training within the first week of hire date; offered by facility.
