Position Summary:

Position Summary:
Arbour Hospital currently has Social Worker (Clinical) position available. The Social Worker is responsible for the completion of a psychosocial assessment/evaluation, provides treatment, therapy, psycho-education and/or counseling utilizing individual, family or group modalities as well as the development of a clinical discharge plan for continuing care. Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred.

This is a full time, benefit eligible position. Monday-Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Main responsibilities:
• Assessment, treatment plan and goals
• Coordinates discharge planning with patient, family and outside agencies as necessary
• Coordinates aftercare planning with psychiatrist
• Attends and is active participant in weekly scheduled multidisciplinary team meetings
• Must possess knowledge and skills necessary to interact compassionately and appropriately with patients on a regular basis.
• Strong assessment and treatment skills

 
Requirements
The following are the job requirements for the Social Work position
• Masters Degree in Social Work/Counseling with appropriate licensure or license eligible
• Experience preferred working in an inpatient hospital or mental health setting.
• Must possess knowledge and skills necessary to interact compassionately and appropriately with patients on a regular basis.
• Strong assessment and treatment skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effective orally and in writing.
• Exemplary professionalism with respect to confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective team collaboration.
• Demonstrates ability to understand the role of social worker in a complex, fast-paced inpatient environment.
