The Social Worker/Therapist provides clinical social work services on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Timberlawn Behavioral Health System and licensing for the State of Texas.  The Social Worker/Therapist is responsible  for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.



Job Requirements

Education:     Masters’ degree in Social Work or Master’s degree in Counseling

Experience:     Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient  setting.             

Licensure:       Texas License required:  LMSW, LCSW,LPC, LPCI

Knowledge:     Prefer knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.
