Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
Write clean, maintainable, high-quality code.
Collaborate to establish best practices across our development projects.
Help take new products from prototype to deployment.
Solve problems with production systems and automate operations and testing as much as possible.
Stay current with advancements in technology and advocate for the appropriate use of those advancements in our own stack.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
80%- engineering responsibilities
20%- meetings
NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to the Development Manager.
This position has no direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years
Physical Requirements:
Most all of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
Additional Qualifications:
Strong customer service / communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experienced with either Java, Python, Golang, or JavaScript
foundation in algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
BS in CS, or equivalent experience and self-education.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:"Communicates technical decisions through design docs, tech talks, and the wiki.
Understand how their work fits in to the larger project and identifies problems with requirements.
Able to own small features and to be the technical expert on those features.
Capable of providing on-call support for their area.
