What You'll Do

In this role, you will lead one or more teams of engineers. You will be responsible for team delivery, performance, continuous improvement and agile software development processes.

Additional responsibilities include:

             Foster a culture of measurable, incremental software delivery

             Maintain and develop effective agile methodologies

             Take Responsibility for planning, execution and delivery of complex technical projects

             Maintain effective and structured communication with cross functional, local and global engineering teams and communicate status, risk assessment and offer mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery of projects

             Collaborate effectively with peers to identify engineering gaps and overlaps and improve effectiveness of team

             Encourage a culture of ownership, innovation and risk taking

Cloud Collaboration Technology Group (CCTG) are part of a specialist centre for Cisco Collaboration Engineering located at Cisco EMEAR headquarters in Bedfont Lakes, Feltham and in Uxbridge. Our group builds cutting-edge media technologies, deployed daily to numerous datacentres around the world. As a modern, dev-ops focused group, we are responsible for designing, building and running the services that provide the best-in-class audio and video experience that Cisco customers of products like WebEx and Spark enjoy and expect. We combine a deep well of experience with the latest technologies to be able to develop and deploy new code quickly and with confidence in its reliability, with new code improving our customers’ experience just days after it was written.

             Proven ability to lead, motivate and grow engineering teams

             Strong people management skills, leading by empowerment and engagement

             Hands-on software development experience in either C++ or Python

             Good communications and presentation skills, assertiveness and the ability to take discussions and open issues to closure by working with local and remote teams

             Ability to work effectively with geographically distributed teams

             Experience with Agile software development

             Experience with DevOps, continuous integration, continuous delivery

             A real passion for technology and continuous learning

             Ability to establish credibility and earn respect of smart engineers quickly

             Experience in the audio/video conferencing and collaboration domain is a strong plus
