What You'll Do

Here is an excellent opportunity to join Cisco's Datacenter Switching Group (SAN Switching), where you will be working on next generation data center products that enable large scale, low-latency, high speed storage networks

Who You'll Work With

This position combines designing, executing and tracking of test cases for highly advanced and creative storage products. You will also have a chance to work closely with other multi-functional teams from the QA, Engineering and H/W groups, while learning and evolving as an integral part of a growing business.

Who You are

Software QA engineer working on innovative technologies in a fast changing landscape of datacenter technologies and part of the BU having complete ownership of multiple products.

Our minimum requirements for this role:

  • Set up, maintain complex SAN configurations/test beds
  • Participate in technical reviews: S/W design reviews, test plan reviews and entrance criteria reviews
  • Investigate and analyze failures up to reaching the root cause, for both software and hardware problems based on system logs and analyzer traces
  • Execute manual and automatic test cases in a storage networking lab environment
  • Lead weekly engineering meeting with storage partners and assign/track action items/deliverables

Minimum Qualifications

  • BSEE or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 year experience in testing and troubleshooting in Storage Area Networking
  • Proven understanding and hands-on experience with any SAN switch vendor (Cisco MDS would be a plus)
  • Working experience with Fiber Channel/FCoE storage systems setup and configuration
  • Deep Knowledge of installing and configuring different OS platforms such as Windows, Redhat, VMWare ESX
  • Understanding of Fibre Channel, FCoE, iSCSI and FC over IP protocols

  • Programming or scripting skills
