The Senior Sales Executive leads the sales effort for a region of UHC Global, Medical, Canada, traditionally across the energy, mining and infrastructure sectors. The key purpose is to lead our sales effort in this market by engaging with new and existing clients to develop, execute and close sales opportunities in order to meet or exceed the annual revenue budget set. Though this role is an individual contributor role, it will lead our market engagement and act as the figure - head for the business unit. They will also own the product and proposition development for the Canadian market, engaging with the UK business unit to ensure our products and services remain current and meet the evolving needs of the customer.

 

This high profile role in the company and requires an outstanding candidate who will use their industry knowledge and Sales experience to successfully develop their market.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Business Development / Sales:

  • Develop, own and implement strategy for achieving annual revenue budget for Canadian business

  • Identify opportunities within new and existing market segments that can be targeted to drive growth

  • Work with internal stakeholders to innovate and drive growth through the development of new product solutions

  • Develop together with the Commercial Director an aggressive sales action plan to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales and business targets for new business and cross selling targets

  • Identify buying influencers, decision makers and develop contacts at the multiple levels within target organizations

  • Build internal stakeholder relationships to further the ability of the sales team to achieve annual revenue budgets

  • Forge close cooperation with sales and marketing personnel from other United Healthcare Global business operations to foster the growth of cross sales and master service agreements

  • Provide weekly and monthly sales and pipeline reports in-line with Location, Region and Global requirements through effective use of CRM software

  • Identify and initiate relationship building with potential partners for delivering client solutions

  • Actively utilise Salesforce for the management and reporting of sales leads, opportunities, pipeline and budget

  • Prepare and undertake client presentations for lead generation and/or opportunity growth

  • Undertake competitor analysis in identified markets

  • Work closely with operations and clinical teams to identify upsell and cross sell opportunities

  • Raise company profile amongst targeted markets, vertical industry segments and geographies

  • Undertake thorough opportunity qualification to build bid and win themes for all opportunities

  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, and especially the Bids team, to define solutions to client needs, bid strategies, and facilitate the bidding process for all Canadian bids

  • Work with the broad sales organisation to ensure that client proposals and bids are delivered within the requested timeframe

  • Work with the Commercial Director to define product offerings for the Canadian market

  • Attend marketing and promotional events, trade fairs and other appropriate forums in order to promote and increase awareness of United Healthcare Global Medical solutions

  • Interface with Marketing team to ensure that required materials are available for client interaction

  • Where appropriate, work with the Operations team to facilitate the project renewal process

  • Other activities as defined by the business needs and requested by line management
