As part of our SS&MO IT Operations  team, you will predominantly be involved in stability and performance initiatives related to applications in our expanding, highly visible Service Center Portfolio.   Our team has production support responsibility for the United Healthcare and Optum strategic call center platforms which are some of the most critical business applications in Optum Technology.  We need your talents to work in an exciting, fast-paced, and growing environment!  So bring your passion, your innovative ideas, and be ready to showcase your technical expertise as you join a team of individuals bent on making a true difference to our Call Centers and the customers we serve!

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support director-level portfolio of applications
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership in resolving high priority incidents (war rooms)
  • Facilitate Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) related to production incidents/defects and drive corrective action plans
  • Identify, present, and drive the implementation of application performance/design improvement initiatives
  • Partner with application delivery teams in requirements and design phases and provide functional/non-functional requirement inputs from production support
  • Work with infrastructure partners on capacity and performance analysis and drive proper infrastructure scaling and configuration improvements
  • Work with Service Manager and Service Director to prioritize production issues for resolution
  • Coordinate and provide estimates on break/fix and problem-management activities
  • Analyze and drive the implementation of new production support tools
  • Coordinate DevOps transformation activities across applications in the portfolio
  • Provide status reporting  related to application performance and initiatives on daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Serve as a leader and mentor to junior team resources
