Position Summary:

The Northwest School of Innovative Learning at Fairfax Behavioral Health in Tacoma has a full time position available for a dynamic Special Ed Teacher.   Our school serves students in K-12.  The Special Education Teacher educates students and administers policies and procedures relating to all phases of education in accordance with current state and federal special education standards. In addition, the Special Education Teacher is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising individualized direct care, educational group services and activities for each assigned student or group. The position defines and implements education and behavior goals as a member of the educational team. As an active member, this position provides continuous individualized tailored student care, observation, interaction, documentation, and role modeling to students while under the direct supervision of the School Supervisor. As Special Education Teacher, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

 
Requirements

Special Ed certification in the State of Washington required. Prefer a minimum of three years related special ed, mental health experience.
