Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of accounting duties in the following areas: accounts payable, employee expense report processing, cash application, and general accounting
  • Responsible for reviewing, reconciling, and analyzing expenditures to ensure that costs are allocated to the appropriate projects and general ledger accounts, in the proper accounting period
  • Provide support for the month end close process
  • Respond to information requests and participate in special projects as needed
  • Process accounts payable invoices and issue payments to vendors
  • Process travel expenditures
  • Audit and process employee expense reports
  • Review transactions and determine accounting classifications
  • Perform cash application functions
  • Prepare, process, and analyze inventory records and reports
  • Assist in various month end processes including journal entry preparation and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Prepare support for audit inquiries
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree (or higher) in Accounting / Finance or High School Diploma / GED with 5+ years of experience in general accounting
  • 2+ years of related experience in general accounting
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (entering data and opening tabs)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • National Career Readiness Certificate
  • PeopleSoft experience
