We are seeking a motivated .Net Developer to join our PGIM Investments Technology team, reporting to our Director of Systems Development. You will be a member of a diverse team of developers that span between Newark and off shore locations and will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing and supporting business applications utilizing technologies including Microsoft .Net, Microsoft SQL Server, Tableau and Cognos. You will work both independently and cross-functionally with other team members to develop technology solutions for business needs targeting internal users and external clients.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Coding and debugging applications as assigned or requested
  • Evaluating and implementing efficient, cost effective application solutions
  • Working as a team member alongside other developers both in the U.S. and globally to implement software solutions
  • Analyzing existing systems and programming logic to identify inefficiencies and provide solutions for continuous application improvements
  • Documenting and completing developer unit test cases to ensure stable integration with existing mature systems
  • Providing production support (e.g. critical business days, after hours, on call, etc...) per service agreements between operations end users and the systems support team
  • Identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies that will assist the business functions in meeting their strategic objectives
  • Acting as an expert technical resource to development team for all phases of the systems development life cycle

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU? OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE HAS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent work experience required
  • 5 years of experience with developing n-tier applications using Microsoft .Net technologies including C#, ASP.Net and MVC
  • 5 years of experience using web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML
  • 5 years of experience with database design and development using Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with Microsoft Office automation a plus
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Flexible enough to succeed whether assigned larger project initiatives or routine maintenance and support tasks
  • Financial Services experience preferred
  • Knowledge of mutual funds business a plus
