The Sr. Account Executive, Payer Relations is responsible for managing payer relations for BriovaRx Specialty and Infusion Services.  This position will be responsible for handling contracts and payer relations in the West Region. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work across business partners to establish and cultivate strategic business relationships with key managed care payers, influencers, and customers
  • Support network access adequacy needs through ensuring existing agreements and client relationships are maintained
  • Drive payer client retention and profitability via account management routines and a disciplined approach to financial performance
  • Collaborate with Specialty and Infusion sales teams to align payer access priorities and manage the pipeline of new business development opportunities in both existing and new markets
  • Develop relationships across health systems in support of sales team efforts within key markets
  • Provide subject matter expertise support to the Briova sales teams that interface with health plans for standalone business opportunities and the OptumRx PBM clients
  • Facilitate health plan and other payer RFP responses to ensure Briova is positioned as a best in class specialty / infusion provider
  • Create and own product solutions for health plan and employer clients that differentiate the integrated assets of OptumRx (such as Briova Specialty and Home Infusion)
  • Apply network configuration and incentive - based payment models as appropriate to improve quality and efficiency
  • Influence others to resolve business problems that affect multiple functions or disciplines
  • Apply previous experiences to product, service or process decisions that impact multiple functions and / or customer accounts
  • Coordinate with the Network Providers Relations team at OptumRx to identify and leverage growth strategies for BriovaRx Specialty and Infusion Services
  • Use previous PBM / payer or pharmacy experience and knowledge to make business decisions
