Prudential Retirement is an industry leader in Stable Value, Pension Risk Transfer (PRT), Structured Settlements, and Full Service businesses. The 10P Senior Actuarial Associate, Actuarial Modeling, is a position on the actuarial modeling team in support of the Pension Risk Transfer pricing model. This position combines actuarial and programming expertise and ideal candidate would have some interest in both fields.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Directly involved in the model development related to PRT Cash Flow Model.
◦Design implementation of classes and methods in C# according to provided business requirements, technical specifications and/or guidance.
◦Write clear and maintainable C# code and software documentation.
◦Design test plans and unit test the code.
◦Provide accurate and insightful model validation.
•Work collaboratively with business partners on the PRT modeling team to support the development and maintenance of the modeling platform used for PRT pricing.
•Partners closely with the Modeling and Governance Team, Research & Development (R&D) team on model design and User Acceptance Testing efforts.
•Serves as resource in validating or implementing PRT Pricing modeling changes to facilitate confident decision-making and to achieve business goals.
•Ensures adherence to appropriate corporate governance, controls, and documentation policies/procedures.


•Bachelor Degree in a quantitative or financial field such as Actuarial Science, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, etc.
•1 years of actuarial experience (financial modeling, product development, pricing, valuation, GAAP/Stat reporting, asset-adequacy testing, asset/investment/hedging/risk modeling, etc)
•Some experience with C , C#, Java, Python or similar language is required.
•Actuarial exams P and FM are required, Exam MLC is preferred.
•Good communication skills, particularly in presenting results to audience of diversified backgrounds.
•Good technical skills and ability to understand complex quantitative concepts and models.
•Experience with object oriented programming is a plus.
•Experience in development of actuarial models is a plus.
•Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
•Highly motivated and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with high quality standards.
•Fast learner and a strong team player.
