Summary:

Based in Purchase, New York, the Consumer Insights Senior Analyst will partner closely with the global brand, innovation & design teams to help ensure that business decisions are grounded in powerful consumer-centric thinking.

This role requires someone who is passionate about bringing the consumer to bear in everything we do, has an innate interest in branding, advertising & innovation and is comfortable with both quantitative and qualitative data.

The successful candidate will be a \"decision change agent\", adept at turning data and consumer learnings into a compelling story with clear implications, and then helping to advocate for their implementation.

Accountabilities:

  • Partnering closely with the marketing & content center teams, deliver powerful consumer insights that help inspire, develop and evaluate:
    • The development of brand positioning/strategy and marketing communication/engagement programs, including target audience research and advertising copy testing
    • The development of new, consumer-driven product innovation, including concept development, concept & product testing
  • Across these initiatives, proactively partner with manager to design research plans against business objectives, timelines and budget. A self-starter, with excellent project management skills, is key.
  • Analyze data and translate findings into meaningful consumer insights, integrating relevant business knowledge and learning from other projects/sources. Demonstrate the ability to tell a story and share a point of view, not just present findings.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation by finding new and better ways of doing things: identify, create and employ innovative research approaches.
  • Develop credibility and manage strong two-way working relationships with cross-functional, cross-country business teams, regional insight leads, as well as external suppliers and partners.
  • Act as a champion of consumer empathy and inspire consumer curiosity throughout the organization.



Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2-4 years in a strategic insights role, agency or client side
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree. Advanced Degree preferred
  • Ability to speak a foreign language preferred, but not required

    • A team player, who thrives on working collaboratively, inspiring others and bringing out the best in the wider team
    • A clear communicator, able to deliver finding in an engaging, fresh and impactful manner, cutting through the complexity to tell a simple, compelling narrative
    • An effective networker, who is able to build strong relationships with global counterparts
    • A deep understanding of how to turn insights into action and impact the commercial agenda
    • Ability to thrive in a matrixed environment and deal with ambiguity
    • Open mind, can-do attitude, natural curiosity and eagerness to learn
    • Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SPSS proficiency preferred)
    • Willingness to travel
