The ADP Sr. Application Developer will play a key role in the understanding and translation of business needs into technical system, scope, and objectives for our Electronic Sales Order platform built on Oracle CPQ. The Sr. Application Developer candidate will devise and/or modify procedures to solve problems using computer information systems. In addition, the selected candidate will prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written, designed, coded, tested, debugged and documented of all assigned programs.

  • Technical component of role will Encode, prepare test data, test/debug programs at various complexity levels
  • Write structured, organized, documented, and highly maintainable programs
  • Prepare test data, test scenarios and test plans that ensure programs are working correctly prior to release
  • Follows ISD/departmental standards, procedures, and project documentation requirements
  • Analyzes the requirements for programs and define the overall structure
  • Analyze system/program problems and defines solutions
  • Prepare both functional and technical specifications
  • Perform business analysis and translates into technical specifications and develop all levels of logic flow charts.
  • Provides assistance to other staff members on selected functional and technical issues
  • Assists in software package evaluation and setting ISD Departmental standards and procedures
  • Monitor changes in technology and stay up-to-date on current industry trends that impact company
  • Provides support to technical user groups to resolve system problems.
  • Responsible for the analysis of systems with a focus on technical internal/external specifications, coding, testing and documentation
  • Develop specifications, modifications, and expand new and existing programs through technical analysis
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
  • Provide guidance and assists in training of less experienced Programmer Analyst associates


  • BA/BS in Math or Computer Science OR relevant work experience
  • 5+ years' experience with progressive programming and analysis experience
  • Minimum 2 Years of relevant development experience in any CPQ tool like Apptus CPQ or Oracle CPQ [big machines] or Salesforce CPQ [Steel brick CPQ] or fire pond
  • Must have experience developing functionalities for enterprise CPQ. Integrations experience with Salesforce is also highly preferred.
  • Must have strong experience in at least one of the following technologies JavaScript/ jQuery, SQL , PHP or Java or C#
  • Must be willing to learn and implement Oracle CPQ and work on end-end solutions in sales automation and CPQ space.
