OptumRx is an innovative pharmacy benefit management organization managing the prescription drug benefits of commercial, Medicare and other governmental health plans, as well as those of employers and unions. Services offered by the company include pharmacy network contracting, rebate contracting and administration, mail order pharmacy facilities, specialty drugs and retail drug claims processing. Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide OptumRx business leaders with effective advice and counsel on regulatory and transactional matters, and business strategies
- Operating in a strategic and pro-active manner to assist our internal business clients in managing their relationships with pharmaceutical and network partners, and managing the legal and regulatory risk related to prescription drug programs
- Functioning as part of a high performing, collegial team
As a member of the OptumRx legal team, close collaboration with colleagues is expected, as well as a willingness to adapt to the changing legal support requirements of our growing business.
- Juris Doctorate degree
- 10 or more years of legal experience in health care regulatory and transactional practices
- Experience working with the pharmacy and pharmacy benefits management industries
- Understanding of the managed health care industry
