Position Description:
Senior Operations Business Analysts in this role will be responsible for implementing various aspects of Front End Redesign projects. This Senior Operations Business Analyst will be heavily involved in large projects and initiatives that bring value to The Home Depot Stores. They must possess a high level of analytical skill and ability to partner cross functionally to prioritize multiple components of redesign projects

  • Leverages their technical abilities to synthesize complex analytical tasks into easily understood data-driven stories. 
  • Responsible for proposing, analyzing, and then sharing insights gleaned from data. Develops predictive systems and algorithms for identifying trends and driving business solutions. 
  • Establishes scalable and efficient processes for large scale data analyses, model development, and model implementation. 
  • Defines best practices and articulates a clear vision for how data analyses should be done.
  • Operates with minimal supervision and once given general assignments, prioritizes and executes tasks. 
  • Works within a defined scope of the business and proposes new solutions based on data analyses. 
  • Regularly communicates the output of their work and provides recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Lead Project Teams of Analysts and other associates 
  • Perform data gathering tasks, synthesis - develop solutions, project/strategy planning and data utilization 
  • Produce documents for teams and leadership to review and utilize. Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors 
  • Build skills and knowledge including self-development, team knowledge and customer (internal) knowledge. 
  • Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors.
  • Typically reports to Store Operations Process Manager or Store Operations Business Manager (or Sr. Managers) 
  • No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a field (retail store) environment 
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite and SQL
  • Abilty to travel as this role requires up to 50% of the time to be spent in the field (stores)
  • Ideal candidates will be comfortable spending extensive time in the field (stores) which will include a lot of standing/walking

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
  • Experience leading high performing teams 
  • Consulting management and/or project management. 
  • Strong quantitative skills such as statistics and data analysis 
  • Problem solving 
  • Store Operations, Retail and/or field knowledge
