Sr. Clinical Quality Analyst (Behavioral Health) – San Diego, CA (759346)

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing provider policies, procedures, and documentation standards and identify areas of improvement, during initial and re-credentialing audits
  • Traveling to conduct on-site provider audits throughout San Diego County
  • Scoring audits and writing outcome reports
  • Responsible for providing feedback and recommendations on how to improve areas of deficiency related to provider deficiencies of policies, procedures, and documentation standards
  • Investigating quality of care concerns and preparing cases for clinical quality committees
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and work collaboratively with various departments to achieve desired outcomes
  • Oversee interventions / data analysis of assigned ongoing quality improvement activities
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance in implementing quality initiatives
Required Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree with California independent licensure in the Mental Health field such as: LMFT, LPC, LCSW, PhD, etc.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in behavioral health
  • Computer proficiency
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytic skills including ability to clearly articulate issues and business needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels throughout the organization
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to accommodate daily field-based travel to provider sites throughout San Diego County
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Quality improvement experience
  • Knowledge of public sector mental health policy, regulations and clinical and administrative operations
  • Background working as an auditor, including experience conducting chart, documentation and / or billing audits
  • Experience with MediCal
