Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
This position will be responsible for the timely and accurate handling of payment services reporting and analytics. The analyst will provide logistical support on all phases of the reporting life-cycle including development and will have direct contact with internal partners and senior management. The analyst will also assist in the development of predictive modeling to support strategic decision-making. The Analyst is expected to be highly motivated, detailed oriented, analytical, and able to prioritize multiple deadlines.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 30% Work with internal partners across payment services to develop and update weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to Senior Management
  • 30% Deep dive analytics, identify trends, and provide meaningful observations which are useful for the stakeholders while making projections
  • 20% Responsible for developing and maintaining fraud data repository
  • 20% Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

NATURE AND SCOPE
  • Typically Reports to Sr. Manager
  • Responsible for helping others and providing on-the-job training or guidance

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

Years of Relevant Work Experience:
3 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Degree in quantitative field preferred, e.g. Economics, Finance, Statistics, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data using SQL and/or SAS
  • Experience using Tableau, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience developing and implementing predictive modeling techniques (logistic regression, classification trees, etc.)
  • Superior critical thinking skills and analytic abilities

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, and changing environment
  • Highly effective communicator with all levels within the company
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data (experience using SQL/SAS preferred)
  • Ability to work independently on complex and confidential tasks
  • Strong PC knowledge, including MS office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
