Job Details

The primary responsibility of this function is to oversee a team of colleagues who generate and synthesize Market Access and Pricing strategies for Pfizer Essential Health's Anti-Infective portfolio. The Team Leader is responsible for all aspects of global market access strategy development and roll out for both in-line and development assets, including the payer value proposition and pricing strategy access across global market archetypes based on a clear understanding of the relevant stakeholders and their needs in order to secure and maintain Access and Reimbursement.







The individual will report to the PEH Market Access Lead.







**Role Responsibilities**







+ Manage direct reports responsible for Access and Pricing strategies to deliver clear recommendations relating to payer strategy, pricing and reimbursement, evidence generation and stakeholder value proposition.



+ Identify and execute Access and Pricing strategies in line with Commercial goals while representing the 'Voice of the Payer' in cross-functional teams and governance bodies.



+ Bring creative solutions to the team while employing leading-edge methodologies and by identifying and scaling innovative ideas



+ Work efficiently and collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment



+ Develop effective processes and ways of working to support collaboration with key internal stakeholder groups.



+ Understand and shape health care environment: (a) Tailor product pricing and access strategies, deliverables and action plans by payer archetypes or markets; (b) Innovate new methodologies for data collection for market landscape, analogs, P&R trends; (c) Incorporate knowledge of future of pricing and access potential into development of product portfolio strategies and BD decision process; (d) Integrate cross-functional perspectives as appropriate in market access and pricing strategies



+ Generate Insights and engagement plan with Pricing and Reimbursement Stakeholders: (a) Keep abreast of new approaches and utilize new methodologies to address business questions on price or access; (b) Communicate research results across the enterprise, incorporating insights into product development or P&R strategies; (c) Uses primary and secondary research, as well as analogues and expert opinion in preparation of final market access and pricing recommendations



+ Develop Product/Portfolio Value Proposition: (a) Balance subjective and qualitative insights to build scenario based detailed picture of pricing and access potential; (b) Incorporate knowledge of future pricing and access landscape to inform key asset decision points with insight on payer needs for differentiation, endpoints and comparators; (c) Develop clear recommendations on value evidence needs and priorities from payer perspective; (d) Provide macro perspective that will maximize the potential of the asset by clarifying priority value drivers that resonate across various stakeholders; (e) Leverage knowledge of the therapy area and external market to anticipate pricing and access scenarios and lead the development of a complex mitigation plan



+ Develop Pricing and Access Strategies, map product pricing globally and optimize value: (a) Strategically incorporates considerations about lifecycle opportunities, and future pricing and access landscape; (b) Continuously cross-references with country and regional H&V colleagues to inform product pricing and market access strategy; (c) Analyze and consider opportunities, challenges and trends across regions, payer archetypes; (d) Conduct/lead trainings/workshops for countries on Payer Value Pack materials incorporating cross-functional partners; (e) Strategically design stakeholder engagement strategies to execute vision of value evidence communication



+ Provide support to markets to achieve pricing and reimbursement targets: (a) Strategically supports countries to achieve vision for value-based pricing and access in pricing and access strategy execution; (b) Proactively identifies opportunities to advance access for Pfizer products in close collaboration with country and regional H&V leads







**Education**



Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree in a healthcare, business or economic field preferred.







**Experience**



Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in healthcare environment, preferably pharmaceutical industry or related consulting services, sufficient to have developed a deep understanding of the global payer and market access environment



Knowledge and understanding of drug development process



Pharmaceutical business leadership, including experience in strategy development and interaction with customers



Familiarity with strategic and operating planning processes



Knowledge and understanding of health economics and associated skills



Strong interpersonal skills and active listening.



Proven ability to develop strong partnerships across functions.



Executive presence and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.



Outstanding writing and presentation skills.



Ability to work under pressure, to take accountability for business challenges, thinks strategically and tackles complex problems.



Intellectual curiosity and ability to spot trends/ patterns.
